PsyBC is now in its 4th year producing these award-winning online symposia:
PsyBC's programs are designed to help mental health professionals keep up with current developments in their specialties. They are organized as symposium series and conducted by panels who choose and discuss what they consider to be the most important articles in the current journal literature and/or emerging issues in the field. The panelists' discussions include questions and comments from the audience. The authors of the papers and/or specialists on a topic are invited to join the discussion as guest panelists. For each symposium series there are four discussions per year each lasting one month. Subscribers do not have to be at their computers at any special time. It all happens through email. Finally, PsyBC publishes "coursepacks" containing hard copies of all of the articles under discussion for the year. These are available for an extra fee to members of the audience who need them.

Being informed about psychiatric disorders, the various medications being used to treat them, and the dynamics of integrating psychopharacological treatment has become a necessity for many psychotherapists. PsyBC's On Psychopharmacology for Psychotherpaists symposium series is an ideal way to gain this expertise and keep up with the developments in this rapidly changing field. Each month-long discussion focuses on a different psychiatric disorder. The psychiatrists on the panel specialize in integration of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. (Drs. Ellison and Beitman have the leading texts in the field.) At the same time the panel is leavened with psychotherapists who ensure that the conversation addresses their point of view. Leading experts on the disorders under discussion are brought in as guest panelists. Finally, as with all PsyBC symposia, comments and questions sent in by the subscribers are encouraged and become an important part of the educational experience.

For therapists using all theraputic modalities, On Psychopharmacology for Psychotherpaists is our most popular symposium series. Scheduled to meet in months alternating with core program discussions.
