Speaking of Membership
As the Y2K Chair of the Membership Committee, I first want to wish you the best during this new millennium.
My main goal for the coming year will be to continue the excellent work begun by my predecessor, Pat Pitta, in adding to the Division’s register. I believe the best way to do this is to let prospective members know all about the benefits of being a 42 dues-paying member and the Division’s activities to be an useful resource for independent practitioners. I will feature these in upcoming columns.
During her presidency, Carol Goodheart spearheaded development of the PICK 42 series. New and prospective members might not yet taken advantage of using Pick 42 niche guides for practice expansion. “PICK” stands for Practice Information Clearinghouse of Knowledge. Each guide is designed to provide practical information on one focused area of professional practice. Included in each are relevant background research, major techniques and interventions, ethical considerations, training, marketing ideas, and more. So far, there are 30 topics available.
Further information on these guides may be obtained by visiting the 42 website at www.division42.org. Members receive a discount when ordering any guide. Consider expanding your practice by picking up a Pick 42 niche guide soon. To order, call Central Office at 602-246-6577, and encourage a colleague who is not yet a member to do the same. |
