We regret the passing of Toni Bernay, Ph.D. who died of lymphoma 0n 5/1/07. Dr. Bernay was very active in and a founding member of Women Psychologists for Legislative Action (WPLA), and the co-author of a book on Women and Power with Dorothy Cantor. She was an outstanding advocate for the rights of psychologists and was one of the four plaintiffs in the lawsuit that opened up the institutes of the American Psychoanalytic Association to accepting psychologists and social workers for training. Donations can be made to the Porrath Foundation for Cancer Patient Advocacy. There will be an obituary article in a forthcoming issue of the WPLA newsletter. There are plans to honor Dr. Bernay at the WPLA Breakfast in August.
