Adultery

Date

Dear Medical/Health Reporter:

Type "adultery" into your local Internet search engine. You may find more than 15,000 links ranging from religious sites to those covering laws, books, investigators, or "lifestyles" to one called "Differences between Republican Adulterers and Democrats."

Adultery is as ancient as Roman laws but how common is it? Have attitudes changed over the years? The world has watched Hillary and Chelsea Clinton cope with the world’s most famous contemporary adultery case but how do men handle their wives’ affairs? How do children react to learning of a parent’s infidelities?

As a service to your community, the American Psychological Association’s Division of Independent Practice would like to offer a psychologist in your area to speak with you on this topic. He/She would be able to answer the above questions and to help your audience learn more about the reasons for adultery and ways to cope.

Attached is a copy of a new brochure called "called "Straight Talk - Choosing a Psychologist." The free brochure is available by phoning toll-free 1-877-603-4000. Readers may also call this number for the name of a licensed psychologist in their area.

I look forward to speaking with you.

Sincerely,

Psychologists in Independent Practice...personal, confidential, private
